As a rule, you will always receive money from your employer during your apprenticeship in a company. The amount of this payment can vary considerably depending on the year of training and occupation.

Several hundred euros a month

In some occupations, the wage in the first year is €649 per month, while other occupations pay more right from the start. The wage will increase slightly with each year of training until the end of the apprenticeship. At the end of the apprenticeship, you must pass a practical and a theoretical examination to become a skilled worker. A company that then employs you will pay you a corresponding skilled worker's wage.
