A vocational training course in a company usually takes between two and three-and-a-half years. During the vocational training course, you work for the most part in a company and attend a voca-tional training college on one or two days of the week.

Earning money during your training

As a rule, you will always receive money from your employer during your apprenticeship in a company. The amount of this payment varies depending on the year of training and occupation.

At least 649 euros per month

In the first year of the training, the remuneration is at least 649 euros per month. In some professions you are paid more, even at the beginning. The pay will increase a little with every year of training until the end of the training course. At the end of the training course you must pass practical and theoretical examinations as a skilled worker. Companies that employ you after this will then pay you a skilled worker’s wages.
