In the initial orientation course, you receive important information about everyday life in Germany. You also learn some basic German language skills so that you can find your way around. A course consists of a total of 300 lessons (one lesson = 45 minutes).
Participation in the course is voluntary and free of charge. The initial orientation course is es-pecially aimed at asylum seekers who do not come from a country with a high acceptance rate (good prospects of remaining in Germany) or from a safe country of origin. If places are available, people from countries with good prospects of remaining can also take part.
As part of the course, you also visit places such as a local authority, library or the weekly market. Here you can directly apply and try out the knowledge learned in the course.
